TORONTO EDUCATION CONFERENCE 2017
JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa
The Toronto Education Conference (TEC) was the Annual Education Summit for the Meetings Professionals International Toronto Chapter. This event brought in 300+ event planners and suppliers to beautiful Muskoka to learn, network, and celebrate together as an industry.
In her role as Chair of TEC, Tami was responsible for planning along-side a team of eight other Events Professionals to execute the conference. The theme of the event was Learning with a View which was all about getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city, kicking-back in beautiful Muskoka, and learning in a peaceful relaxing environment. She and her team created a rewarding and educational program for Events Professionals, booked outstanding keynote and session speakers, and created a space for people to let go and have fun and learn while receiving educational credits. The event included elements such as an evening Muskoka themed dinner with real wildlife and local music, an interactive event App, a games night to raise funds for the MPI Foundation, and a variety of networking and educational sessions for all.
MPI TORONTO HOLIDAY GALA 2015
Every year the MPI Toronto Chapter gets together for it’s largest end of year celebration and charity fundraiser, the Annual Holiday Gala. Each year brings together 350+ Meeting Professionals to celebrate the year and give back to their community by supporting the Breakfast With Santa Foundation. Each year there is a theme and this year it was “Holiday Market, Sights & Sounds” with a local artisan marketplace and market themed entertainment and food.
As Chair of the Holiday Gala, Tami was responsible for successfully leading a team of 8-10 event professionals to success. She and her team brought together this amazing event and created a unique and joyful experience for all. The event theme was the “Holiday Market, Sights & Sounds”. This event encompassed a large snow-globe that would fill as donations were received, themed food like rolled snow stations and eggnog, holiday entertainment like carolers, and ice skaters. The event was very well received and rated as one of the best Holiday Galas for the chapter yet.
